Imaam Dhahabi said:
فِي اسْمِهِ أَقْوَالٌ: يَزِيدُ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ،
وَمُسْلِمٌ، وَعِمْرَانَ، وَالأَصَحُّ زَاذَانُ.
“There are different sayings about his name such as:
Yazeed, Abdur Rahmaan, Muslim, Imraan, and the most authentic of them is Zadaan”

weaken Abu Yahya al-Qattaat as

Ahmed bin Hanbal (D. 241) said:
“كَانَ شَرِيكٌ يُضَعِّفُ أَبَا يَحْيَى الْقَتَّاتَ”
“Qaadhi Shareek (Sadooq, Hasan ul-Hadeeth) used to weaken Abu
Yahya al-Qattaat”

“رَوَى عَنْهُ إِسْرَائِيلُ أَحَادِيثَ مَنَاكِيرَ جِدًّا... هَذَا
مِنْ قِبَلِ أَبِي يَحْيَى”
“Israa’eel (bin Yoonus) has narrated many severely Munkar
narrations from him… and this was due to Abu Yahya (not Israa’eel)”

Abu Zur’ah ar-Raazi (D. 264) was asked by Al-Barza’ee about Abu Yahya
al-Qattaat, so he said:
“ضعيف الحديث”
“He is Da’eef in hadeeth”

Al-Nasaa’ee (D. 303) said:
“لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيّ”
“He is not strong”

errors until he strayed to the path other than the path of reliable ones in
narration”

Abu Ahmed bin Adee al-Jarjaani (D. 365) said:
“يروي عنه الأَعْمَش وإسرائيل وعامة حديثه يرويها إسرائيل وفي حديثه
بَعْضُ مَا فِيهِ إِلا أَنَّهُ يكتب حديثه”
“Al-A’mash and Israa’eel have narrated from him and most of his
narrations are narrated by Israa’eel and in some of his narrations there is
what it contains (i.e. weakness) except that his narrations are written down (i.e.
for Mutaabi’ah)”

Ibn Hazm al-Andalusi (D. 456) said while grading a hadeeth:
“فِيهَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الْقَتَّاتُ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ”
“It contains Abu Yahya al-Qattaat, and he is Da’eef”

“أَبُو يحيى القَتَّات ضَعِيف الحَدِيث”
“Abu Yahya al-Qattaat is Da’eef in Hadeeth”

“وكان فاحش الخطأ”
“He used to commit grave mistakes”

“وابو يحيى الْقَتَّاتُ حَسَنُ الْحَدِيثِ”
“Abu Yahya al-Qattaat is Hasan ul-Hadeeth”

Ya’qoob bin Sufyaan al-Fasawi (D. 277) said:
“لا بأس به”
“There is nothing wrong in him”

Abu Bakr al-Bazzaar (D. 313) said:
“وَأَبُو يَحْيَى كُوفِيٌّ مَعْرُوفٌ، لا يُعْلَمُ بِهِ بَأْسٌ،
رَوَى عَنْهُ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ”
“And Abu Yahya is the famous Koofi, nothing wrong is known about
him, a group of people of knowledge have narrated from him”

Contradictory Opinions:
1-
Imaam
Yahya bin Ma’een (D. 233) said:
“لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْس”
“There is nothing wrong in him”
[

And
“ثقة”
“Thiqah”
[
Taareekh Ibn Ma'een, narrated by ad-Daarimi (964) ]
While in
another place, he said:
“ضَعِيفٌ”
“He is Da’eef”

And
“في حديثه ضعف”

Conclusion:
Abu Yahya al-Qattaat is Da’eef
in Hadeeth.
