Note: Imaam Khateeb Baghdaadi has refuted this Jarh explaining that there are two people with similar names, one is Abdur Rahmaan bin Yazeed bin Tameem and the other is Abdur Rahmaan bin Yazeed bin Jaabir. The people of Koofah narrated from Ibn Tameem and they erred in differentiating between the two. Therefore, this Jarh of Imaam al-Fallaas is in reality intended for Abdur Rahmaan bin Yazeed bin Tameem. Imaam Khateeb also said that there is no Munkar narration narrated by Ibn Jaabir
[Taareekh Baghdaad: 10/210]

Imaam Bukhaari said: “The people of Koofah narrated Munkar narrations from Abdur Rahmaan bin Yazeed bin Jaabir, and according to me they only intended Abdur Rahmaan bin Yazeed bin Tameem by it, who is Munkar al-Hadeeth, (because) he resembles Abdur Rahmaan bin Yazeed bin Jaabir with his ahaadeeth”
