1-    Imaam Al-Nasaa’ee (D. 303) said: “He is Thiqah Ma’moon; The man of Hadeeth”

2-    Imaam Ibn Abi Haatim ar-Raazi (D. 327) said: “…And he is Sadooq Thiqah”

3-    Imaam Ibn Hibbaan (D. 354) mentioned him in Ath-Thiqaat and said: “He is the man of hadeeth, he preserves”

4-    Imaam Abu Aroobah al-Harraani said: “Kaana Thabatan fil Akhaz wal Adaa”

5-    Imaam Shams ud-Deen adh-Dhahabi (D. 748) said: “He is al-Imaam al-Haafidh al-Naaqid…. The Muhaddith of al-Jazeerah”

6-    Haafidh Ibn Hajar al-Asqalaani (D. 852) said: “He is Thiqah Haafidh”
