Those who praised him:

1-    Imaam Ibn Hibbaan (D. 354) mentioned him in his book of Thiqaat, saying:

“سعيد بن قيس بن قهد الأنصاري والد يحيى بن سعيد يروى عن أبيه وله صحبة روى عنه ابنه يحيى بن سعيد”

 [ Kitaab ath-Thiqaat by Ibn Hibbaan (4/281)]

Imaam Ibn Hibbaan also mentioned narrated from him in his Saheeh, which means he is Thiqah according to him.

2-    Imaam Ibn Khuzaymah (D. 311) narrated from him in his Saheeh, which denotes that he is Thiqah according to him.

3-    Imaam Abu Abdullah al-Haakim al-Neesaaboori (D. 405) authenticated the chain of his hadeeth saying:

“وَالطَّرِيقُ إِلَيْهِ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا”

“Its route up to him is Saheeh upon their conditions.”
