Imaam Ibn Ma’een also said: “He fabricated ahaadeeth on Sufyaan which were not his”

9-    Imaam Ibraaheem bin Ya’qoob al-Juzjaani said: “Lie is apparent in him”

10-          Imaam Ibn Hibbaan mentioned him in al-Majroheen and said: “He used to fabricate hadeeth on the Thiqah narrators”

11-          Imaam ad-Daaraqutni mentioned him in ad-Du’afa

He also said: “He is Da’eef”

In his Kitaab al-Jarh wat Ta’deel, he said: “He is Matrook ul-Hadeeth”

12-          Imaam Ibn Adee said: “His normal narrations are not followed whether with regard to Isnaad or Matn”

13-          Imaam Khateeb al-Baghdaadi said: “He came to Baghdaad and narrated in it ahaadeeth; and people found out the lies in them, thus they abstained from hearing narrations from him, and they discarded the narrations narrated from him”
