Imaam Ibn Ma’een also said: “He fabricated ahaadeeth on Sufyaan which were not his”

3-    Imaam Bukhaari said: “He is Matrook, Ahmed and the people have abandoned him”

4-    Imaam Muslim said: “He is Matrook ul-Hadeeth”

5-    Imaam Abu Zur’ah ar-Raazi said: “Abandon his hadeeth”

6-    Imaam Abu Haatim ar-Raazi said: “He is Matrook ul-Hadeeth, he is Kadh-dhaab (A Liar)”

7-    Imaam an-Nasaa’ee said: “He is not Thiqah”

8-    Imaam Abu al-Hasan al-Ijlee said: “He is Da’eef ul-Hadeeth… we met him but we did not write anything from him”

9-    Imaam Ibraaheem bin Ya’qoob al-Juzjaani said: “Lie is apparent in him”

10-          Imaam Ibn Hibbaan mentioned him in al-Majroheen and said: “He used to fabricate hadeeth on the Thiqah narrators”

11-          Imaam ad-Daaraqutni mentioned him in ad-Du’afa

He also said: “He is Da’eef”

In his Kitaab al-Jarh wat Ta’deel, he said: “He is Matrook ul-Hadeeth”

12-          Imaam Ibn Adee said: “His normal narrations are not followed whether with regard to Isnaad or Matn”

13-          Imaam Khateeb al-Baghdaadi said: “He came to Baghdaad and narrated in it ahaadeeth; and people found out the lies in them, thus they abstained from hearing narrations from him, and they discarded the narrations narrated from him”

14-          Imaam Abu al-Hajjaaj al-Mizzi said: “There is a unanimous consensus on his weakness”
