Those who praised him:

1-    Imaam al-Bazzaar said: “There is nothing wrong in him, he is not strong”

2-    Imaam al-Ijlee said: “There is nothing wrong in him, and there is weakness in him”

[Thiqaat: 2/217]

3-    Imaam Ibn Adee said: “I hope there is nothing wrong in him”

[Al-Kaamil: 7/177]

4-    Imaam al-Haakim authenticated his hadeeth saying: “The chain of this hadeeth is Saheeh”

[Mustadrak al-Haakim: H. 1301, 3659, 7545]

5-    Al-Busayri authenticated his hadeeth saying: “Its chain is Hasan”

6-    Al-Suyooti said: “Qaza’ah is declared Thiqah by the Jumhoor”

3-    Imaam Abu Zur’ah ar-Raazi mentioned him in ad-Du’afa

4-    Imaam Abu Haatim ar-Raazi said: “He is not strong, his level is of Truth, he is not staunch, write his narrations and do not take evidence from him”

5-    Imaam Nasaa’ee said: “He is Da’eef”

6-    Imaam Abu Ja’far al-Ukaylee mentioned him in ad-Du’afa

7-    Imaam Ibn Hibbaan said: “He commits a lot of Mistakes, makes grave errors, so when he started doing this a lot in his narrations, taking evidence from his reports became invalid”

8-    Imaam Abu Hafs Ibn Shaaheen mentioned him in Taareekh Asmaa ad-Du’afa wal Kadh-dhaabeen

9-    Imaam Abu al-Hasan ad-Daaraqutni mentioned him in ad-Du’afa and said: “Error is dominant in him”

10-          Haafidh Ibn al-Jawzee mentioned him in ad-Du’afa wal Matrokeen

11-          Imaam Dhahabi said: “Qaza’ah bin Suwayd is Da’eef”

12-          Haafidh al-Haythami said: “He is weakened by the Jumhoor”

At another place, he said: “He is Da’eef”

13-          Noor ud-Deen Ibn Iraaq al-Kinaani said: “Qaza’ah bin Suwayd is Mudtarib ul-Hadeeth, Katheer ul-Khata”

Contradictory Opinions:

The following opinions contradict another opinion of the same Muhaddith; therefore, they become neutral.

1-    Imaam Yahya ibn Ma’een said in one narration: “He is not strong”

[Su’alaat Ibn Tahmaan: 1/41]

At another place, he said: “He is Da’eef”

[Du’afa al-Ukaylee: 3/487; Taareekh Ibn Abi Khaythamah: 2/238; Al-Jarh wat Ta’deel: 7/139]

Whereas in another narration, he said: “He is Thiqah”

[Taareekh Ibn Ma’een, narrated by ad-Daarimi: 1/191]

2-    Haafidh Ibn Hajar al-Asqalaani said: “His hadeeth is of the level of Hasan”

At another place, he said: “He is Da’eef”

[Taqreeb: 5546]

Conclusion:

Qaza’ah bin Suwayd is Da’eef ul-Hadeeth according to the Jumhoor. Shaykh Al-Albaani said: “He is weakened by Jumhoor”
