Haafidh Ibn Hajar said: “He is declared Thiqah by the Jumhoor”

Ismaa’eel bin Abi Uways
Al-Nawawi said: “And similarly, Ismaa’eel bin Abi Uways has been weakened by Yahya bin Ma’een and al-Nasaa’ee; however the majority has declared him Thiqah and they have taken evidence from him; and (likewise) Al-Bukhaari and Muslim have taken evidence from him in their Saheehayn”

Baqiyyah bin al-Waleed
Al-Mundhiri said: “He is Thiqah according to the Jumhoor however he is Mudallis”

Adh-Dhahabi said: “The Jumhoor has declared him Thiqah in what he heard from the Thiqaat”

I say: The truth about Shahr bin Hawshab is with Al-Nawawi that he is declared Thiqah by the Majority

Al-Zayla’ee said: “However, he is declared Thiqah by the Majority of Scholars…”

I (Shaykh Zubayr) say: The correct opinion is that he is weakened by the Jumhoor.

I (Raza) say: The saying of Ibn al-Mulaqqin is more correct.

Abdul Majeed bin Abdul Azeez bin Abi Rawwaad
Al-Busayri said: “However, he is declared Thiqah by the Jumhoor”

Al-Sindhi said: “However, he is declared Thiqah by the Jumhoor”

Ibn al-Mulaqqin said: “The Majority is upon taking evidence from it (i.e. from this Silsilah of chain) as said by Ibn as-Salaah in his Kalaam on al-Muhadhdhab”

Al-Zayla’ee said: “And the Majority of People take evidence from the hadeeth of Amr bin Shu’ayb, when the narrator narrating from him is Thiqah…”

Al-Haafidh Ibn Taymiyyah said: “And as for the A’immah of Islaam and the Jumhoor of Scholars, then they take evidence from the hadeeth of Amr bin Shu’ayb narrated from his Father from his Grandfather, when the narration is authentic up to him…”
