Opinions of Ahl ul-Jarh wat Ta’deel:
1- Imaam Abu Bakr al-Barqaani
said: “He is Thiqah”

2- Imaam Khateeb al-Baghdaadi
said: “He is Thiqah Sadooq, Katheer us-Samaa’ wal Kitaabah, Hasan ul-I’tiqaad
(i.e. having sound belief), Jameel ul-Madhab, frequent reciter of Qur’aan, hard
on the people of Bid’ah”

Khateeb also said: “He is the first Shaykh I wrote
from in 403 H”

Imaam Khateeb also said that I heard him saying: “By
Allaah, I do not like the life of the world for earning or trading, but I like
it for the Dhikr of Allaah, and to recite hadeeth on you”

He died in 16th Jumadi ul-Ula on a
Monday at the age of 87, and he was buried near the grave of Ma’roof Karkhi.
